JOB SUMMARY: Obtains necessary information to process and complete loan files
Job Purpose: Examines documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with existing underwriting guidelines.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Assists post closing with funding and stacking of loan files when necessary.
  • Prepare closing documents to state, federal and investor guideline.
  • Completes a quality control check prior to preparation of closing docs.
  • Contact title co, loan processor or mortgage lenders if additional items are needed for preparation of closing documents.
  • Complete closing check list.
  • Assist Mortgage Department in meeting monthly closing goal.
  • Assist Post Closing Department with Funding request, wires, shipping of closed loans and investor pends.
  • Assist Mortgage Department in meeting monthly closing goal.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma, required.  Bachelors Degree preferable.
    • 3-5 plus years experience in mortgage loan closing preparation in wholesale and correspondent environment.
    • Knowledge of FHA, VA, Conventional, Rural Development and Trust Closings.
  • Ability to complete tasks within deadlines.
    • Detail oriented and high degree of accuracy.
    • Strong organizational and planning skills.
    • Ability to multi-task.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Knowledge of Federal and State regulatory requirements.
    • Knowledge of Investor loan requirements.
    • Ability to read and speak English proficiently.
