Compliance Coordinator  
Location: Williamsville, NY

Position Summary:   The overall objective of the Compliance Coordinator is to effectively coordinate, facilitate, and monitor the company’s compliance with state, federal and investor regulations as well and company policies and procedures. Responsibilities include in-depth data and report analysis for purposes of reporting, documenting updates to compliance related policy/procedures, system testing and implementation, compliance disclosure and QC oversight. The role requires high level proficiency with Microsoft Excel and similar designated systems.


Facilitate Compliance Research/Projects

  •  Thoroughly gather documentation
  •  Summarize results and identify needed areas of focus / patterns
  •  Monitor training delivery
  •  Ensure tracking and recordkeeping

Quality Control Monitoring

  • Document and track Quality Control findings
  • Work with responsible parties to remedy
  • Promptly communicate trends to Compliance Manager
  • Monitor and track corrective actions

Monitor Compliance-Related Reporting

  • Analyze and prepare applicable reporting to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Communicate patterns or inconsistencies to Compliance Manager and identify areas of needed training

Create Raving Fans

  • Proactive communications with all stakeholders and team members
  • Actively incorporate Best Practices of Industry
  • Active communication with all stakeholders and team members

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include but not limited to the following; other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary and reasonable.

  • Facilitate components of the quality control monitoring process within mandatory timeframes. This includes file selection, research and tracking of findings, coordination of responses, report management and perform 10% QC reviews of selected files
  • Maintain Federal and State policies and company procedures incorporating industry best practices
  • Assistance with and documentation collection for compliance related audits and monitoring reviews
  • Prepare, analyze and reconcile HMDA reporting
  • Review Adverse Action files to align with HMDA reporting requirements
  • Monthly monitoring of compliance testing results and FHA Neighborhood Watch
  • Record keeping of various compliance-related initiatives
