Job Overview: 

We seek a creative, energetic professional to bring their passion and skills to our growing company and pioneer a new position as the Creative Director for Howard Hanna Real Estate Services.  The ideal candidate can conceive and implement visual marketing programs that consist of traditional and digital media. The individual will be responsible for developing engaging assets that tell a story and elicit an emotional response from the audience. The successful candidate will work closely with the design, graphic arts and marketing personnel to deliver content to meet communications objectives.  The Creative Director is responsible for directing the creative team in management and execution of all projects in an accurate and timely manner and tracking all steps in the creative process from inception to production.

Responsibilities and Duties: 

Creative Leadership - 75%

  • Create and maintain a creative workflow and lead-time process documentation to help ensure alignment of campaign deliverables and timetables
  • Manage the creative process from concept to completion
  • Translate marketing objectives into clear creative strategies
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary project teams, particularly marketing and sales management
  • Lead and direct the creative team in the production of all marketing collateral
  • Ensure visual communication and brand standards are met
  • Oversee deliverables, timelines and budgets
  • Meet with senior leadership and executive committee to explain campaign strategies and solutions
  • Review work, troubleshoot and provide feedback to creative teams
  • Remain actively involved in hiring and training creative staff
  • Manage and cultivate the career development of staff members

Content Creation, Copywriting, and Editing - 15%

  • Create content for the Media Room, blog, website, social media, etc.
  • Creative review and proofing for accuracy and brand adherence

Agencies and Vendor Management - 10%

  • Coordinate and meet with vendors, review current vendor performance
  • Explore additional opportunities for vendors in conjunction with the Chief Marketing Officer

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Design required (Master's degree preferred)
  • 5+ years' experience in a marketing or creative leadership role
  • Proven success in managing diverse satellite teams
  • Portfolio of previous work that displays an ability to turn an idea into a visual piece
  • Strong communication and computer skills
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the marketing design process
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Hands-on experience with project management software (Wrike is a plus)
  • Understanding of Content Management Systems, HTML, and CSS
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and team management skills
  • Strong writing skills, with the ability to summarize complex information into concise copy
  • A passion for learning new things
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and detail oriented
  • Team player mentality; a willingness and eagerness to help others whenever necessary
