This involves refining and executing the insurance sales process, actively engaging in business development activities, including proactively reconnecting with previous clients, nurturing unsold leads, and identifying cross-selling opportunities to drive revenue growth. The Sales Team Leader is responsible for maintaining a strong community presence, fostering relationships with key influencers, and being a driving force behind the agency's growth and reputation.

Salary Range: $45,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

1. Leadership and Team Management

  • Ensure team members are logged in by 8:30 AM daily to maintain operational efficiency; manage and report tardiness to support performance accountability.
  • Conduct state-specific team meetings with structured agendas to review performance, set goals, provide training, and motivate team members.
  • Ensure a documented sales process is followed by all team members.
  • Mentor and support team members in market placement and complex underwriting challenges.
  • Submit team meeting updates to the Director of Training and Education and the Regional Sales Manager.

2. Sales and Business Development

  • Personally achieve a monthly sales target of over $40,000 in new business premiums.
  • Achieve a team closing ratio of over 35% on all new business leads
  • Help to enforce the following smart cycle process on lost business, follow up on unsold quotes, and identify cross-selling opportunities.
  • Respond to new inquiries promptly, including evenings and weekends for web-generated business.
  • Achieve and maintain an agency retention rate of at least 89%, ensuring strong client loyalty and long-term relationships, with an 80% multi-line account rate to maximize value per client.
  • Request client referrals and account-round all new business.

3. Client Relationship Management

  • Ensure the team is completing Agency Zoom tasks for new business 30 days after the sale to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Help to build strong client relationships through personalized service and regular engagement.
  • Collaborate with the trainer to coach team members in addressing and resolving negative client feedback effectively.

4. Operational Excellence

  • Use the agency management system (Vertafore AMS360) as directed, ensuring accuracy in tracking prospects, sales, and client interactions.
  • Enter all new prospects into the AMS and document updates after every client interaction.
  • Monitor Motivity reports daily to analyze performance, allocate leads strategically, and optimize agent productivity.
  • Manage and distribute HIA reports, ensuring proper documentation and timely updates in Agency Zoom.

5. Howard Hanna Engagement

  • Cultivate strong relationships with office managers, loan officers, and regional leaders to enhance collaboration and drive referral opportunities.

6. Reporting and Metrics

  • Provide monthly goal updates to management at least three days before the new month begins.
  • Deliver updates and performance highlights at monthly Sales Meetings.
  • Track and report progress using metrics like market share, sales growth, and client satisfaction.
